WHAT IS A CEU?
Understanding Continuing Education for Social Workers
A CEU (Continuing Education Unit) is a professional development credit required to maintain social work licensure. In Utah, social workers renew their licenses every two years and must complete a set number of CEUs to stay current in their field. UTAHSWA provides accessible, high-quality CEU opportunities through our Lunch & Learns, conferences, and other educational events—helping members meet requirements while continuing to grow professionally.
